THANK YOU TO
OUR SPONSORS
We were delighted that the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) and Metro Mayor were the primary funders for the Environmental Academy 2021, through their Community Environment Fund. This fund supports the LCRCAs ambitions to tackle the climate emergency, especially in light of the Covid-19 crisis, and with a particular focus on communities that are the most effected. You can read more about the fund and the other successful projects here.
With thanks to our Partner, the Regenda Group, and all of our partners and sponsors who supported and enabled us to enhance the Environmental Academy and further our participants’ development through an expanded programme of design workshops and activity. The expanded programme challenged participants to respond to the outcomes of the community engagement exhibition: a crucial aspect of iterative design which is responsive to the views and feelings of communities.
The creative designs developed by participants throughout the extended programme can be viewed in Phase 2.
The support provided by our supporters enabled participants to enhance and extend the activity funded by LCRCA and Metro Mayor. This included the delivery of additional design workshops, greater support from PLACED, mentoring from Ambassadors, alongside enriched resources and ensured all participants had greater opportunity to thrive.
By supporting the Academy, our supporters have helped us to make a difference.

Engaging with young people through the Digital Academy was a really innovative and different way to hear the voices of the future. It was interactive and thought-provoking, with plenty of opportunities to understand how the challenges and opportunities that they identified in terms of their own built environment and places could shape the way they lived.
Liverpool City Region Combined Authority
Time and time again it brought to focus that our young people passionately care for the environment that they live in and the health of themselves and their families.
